Work-Home Balance, Self-Ownership, and Authentic Leadership With Lucas Tindell

Original Air Date: November 2, 2020

The moment I finished this interview, I went into the next room and told Adaora: “that was the best interview ever.”

She looked at me incredulously. “You say that every single time,” she said.

I know and it’s true and for real this was epic

Let me make the case.

Lucas and I had an honest, vulnerable, and powerful conversation.

Right at the beginning, we discovered some similarities and connections between us that gave us both spiritual goosebumps.

That set the stage and tone for a real, honest, heart-to-heart conversation.

Lucas went on to share his powerful and inspiring journey. He was transparent about his ups and even his downs.

Lately, I’ve noticed that many people tend to paint perfect pictures of their lives where everything is always going right.

Lucas, on the other hand, shared his struggles in life and business with me – in the hopes that we could learn from the lessons that he’s had to learn the hard way.

He delivers some really valuable gifts for all of us in this interview.

I really hope you will do yourself a humongous favor and listen to this conversation.

And if you’re not already convinced that this will be one of the best hours you can spend, then let me share a little bit more about Lucas.

Lucas Tindell is an author, public speaker, corporate trainer/coach and host of a live video podcast. Lucas has spent over ten years working in key leadership positions focusing not only on organizational development but primarily on the development of people.

He now serves as a leadership development consultant, working with global leaders to identify strengths and areas of development for sustainable growth and improvement.

Authenticity, Personal Branding, and Flawesomeness with Dr. Natalia Wiechowski

Original Air Date: March 1, 2021

In marketing, there are certain buzzwords that can be overused.

‘Authenticity’ and ‘personal branding’ are two of those words. Especially when they’re in the same sentence.

So when someone can actually demonstrate how to create an authentic personal brand, that is both refreshing and remarkable to me.

This week’s guest, Dr. Natalia Wiechowski, does just that, while also giving us a blueprint on how to up our personal branding game.

Natalia’s story is truly remarkable. I’ll give you a teaser:

If you had the top floor penthouse suite, the high-end clothes, the high power job – if you had acquired everything you had ever wanted… could you give it all up to answer a new calling?

During my interview with Natalia, she shares her journey on discovering her calling and how she found the courage to answer that call.

For my marketers out there, Natalia is known by Inc. Magazine as the LinkedIn Marketing Unicorn, and is a Forbes Coaches council member.

We take a deep dive into how you can grow your business, both by using LinkedIn and following strategies to create consistent leads.

For my personal development enthusiasts, Natalia delivers powerful insights into how we can cultivate a growth mindset.

This interview will leave you with pages of notes on how you can take your business and your mindset to the next level.

Do yourself this favor and listen to this one.

Funemployment and Redefining Success With Janna Hall

This week I’m joined by Janna Hall, a Richmond, VA native and CEO of Leap Innovative Group, a digital marketing and brand development agency. Janna began her career in digital marketing when she relocated to New York City in 2011, working at agencies and large non-profits. In February 2016, Janna decided to bring her experience to her hometown by starting her own company to provide strategy development, execution, and copywriting services to local and national brands.

Janna’s passion for entrepreneurship inspired her to launch Funemployed, a brand, community and movement that provides resources to educate & connect dreamers who are monetizing their passion and working to do what they love full-time. With her platform, Janna mentors local youth while teaching them employable skills and plants seeds of entrepreneurship.

On this episode, we discuss her journey from what appeared to be “living her best life” in New York to actually having the courage to put her real dreams into action with her own company. We also talk about what it takes to get to the ultimate state of self-awareness to determine the kind of life you want to live, and how to take steps to achieve exactly that. Above all, Janna believes that success should be measured not by societal standards and pressure, but by our willingness to take the leap and cultivate the life of our wildest dreams.

You can find the Medium article where I met Janna here (5 Things Beyonce Taught Us about Building a Brand). Her digital marketing agency, including Funemployed, can be found here.

Connecting With Your Intuition And Being Yourself

My guest this week is coach and facilitator Tasneem Noor. We talk about understanding and following your intuition, the difference between faith and religion, and Tasneem’s own experience publishing her book, The Faith Connector.

We also tackle the question of what authenticity actually is, and finally examine how a combination of authenticity and intuition can help you achieve your goals. Warning for earphone users: there’s a lot of laughing in this one.

Tasneem Farah Noor is the founder of Noor Enterprises: SOULful Transformations, which is committed to providing transformational experiences, personal development, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue.

Tasneem’s mission is to establish thriving, peaceful communities where conversations of faith build bridges of compassion and collaboration. Through coaching, trainings, and facilitation she helps people learn how to deepen their faith (and trust) in themselves, authentically express themselves, and take courageous action.

On this week’s episode I interview activist, facilitator, and my good friend,  Lloyd Wilkey. I have had the honor of working with Lloyd over the past 6 years.  Lloyd has had a huge influence on the way I view dialogue, facilitation, youth development, and conflict mediation.

During our interview, Lloyd shared his experience of being both a Black Lives Matter activist and at the same time training and working with police officers.  Lloyd is an advocate of what he has coined “Mindful Policing”. His work is centred on social justice, dialogue, equity and inclusion.

In celebration of Black History Month, Lloyd also graciously and beautifully shares his singing talent with us.   Lloyd is the co-founder of Diverse City Consulting and LA Riot Boxing
